First off, we’d like to thank you for checking out our blog and website. We hope you have a great experience with both!

Theme Wars is all about providing a connection between the brightest design minds in the WordPress field, and connecting them with WordPress users who want an amazing theme.

Our idea for the site was to create a place where WordPress users could vote on the theme designs that they thought were the most outstanding, and we’d build the winners to provide back to the community. This is great for two reasons:

1. The community picks the themes that go for sale, thus giving them more control of the marketplace.
2. The winning designers get up to 25% of sales for the themes they help create.

So, in a nutshell, it’s a win-win for both the designers and the WordPress users!

So, how does the site work?

Every week, we’ll hold a two contests. The first contest will be a large vote between many designs. The top two designs that users vote for will be built into WordPress themes, and they’ll go head to head on our homepage battle.

The second vote will be the head-to-head homepage battle to determine which theme is the #1 pick between its peers. During this voting period, you can purchase either theme being displayed on the homepage battle.

You (the user) can vote on which designs you think are the best, and we’ll code them so you can purchase them. It’s pretty simple, huh?

1. You make money if your design wins the weekly vote.
2. You can build your personal brand through exposure on our site.
3. You can win more than one contest, meaning you’ll have more than one design for sale!
4. You get immediate feedback from the WordPress community on your work. If you don’t win your first contest, you’ll at minimum know why!
5. You’ll connect with other professionals in the industry, furthering your career.
