Designers: Get Involved!

Are you a blog designer? Compete in our “Weekly War” for the opportunity to get paid every time your theme sells!

How does it all work?

Each week, Theme Wars features a new contest for a niche theme design, which we call the Weekly War. You (the blog designer) can submit your work each week for the opportunity to win money, exposure and a permanent theme designing position with Theme Wars. If the community votes for your design, we build it and sell it in our Theme Store. You will earn a percentage of the sale each time your design is sold!

For more information, subscribe to our Theme Wars Designer Updates to hear more about the terms of the contests and how you can get paid.

Designer Benefits

In addition to earning a percentage of each theme sold, winning designers also receive a permanent spot on our Featured Designers page. This is an opportunity for the designer to get additional exposure for his/her portfolio and/or design business.

Designer Guidelines

We have a few guidelines that all designers must follow in order to be a part of Theme Wars:

  • All submitted designs must be the original work of the designer.
You must also be the owner of any and all artwork or photos used in the design.
  • All submitted designs must be fully layered and organized Photoshop files (.PSD’s).
At minimum, we require that designs sent to us are fully organized and layered so that we can slice and code them efficiently.
  • All designs must conform to the 960px grid system as seen on 960.GS.
What is the 960 Grid System? According to 960.gs, the 960 Grid System is an effort to streamline web development workflow by providing commonly used dimensions, based on a width of 960 pixels. There are two variants: 12 and 16 columns, which can be used separately or in tandem. You can download the 960 Grid System Photoshop templates here.
  • Designers must have a valid PayPal email address in order to be paid.
We prefer to make payments via PayPal, so make sure that you sign up for an account!
